Dr Martin Hall
Martin Hall has been associated with healthcare for over 30
years. He studied Pharmacy (B.Pharm.Hons) at The School
of Pharmacy, University of London, and became a member
of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society after one year in
practice at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Then he investigated
the underlying mechanisms of Parkinson's Disease
and schizophrenia at the Institute of Psychiatry, culminating
in a PhD from the University of London in 1983. After two
years post-doctoral experience at the Collège de France,
Paris, under a post doctoral Royal Society Fellowship, he
became Leader in Biochemical Pharmacology at the Parke-
Davis Research Centre in Cambridge. Martin entered the
City as a healthcare analyst in 1987 working at Morgan
Grenfell and UBS. He joined HSBC in 1992, where he was
head of Global Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Equity Research
from 2000-04.

Dr Mark Brewer
Mark Brewer has garnered broad-based experience within the Life Sciences sector over the past 20 years, his primary role having been as a research analyst covering biotech, medtech and pharmaceutical companies. In 2005 he gained portfolio management experience in building and running a global Long/Short Life Science fund. He has helped source and fund private equity deals and undertaken M&A due diligence to verify valuations and strategic objectives. He has worked as an analyst for Credit Lyonnais, ABN Amro and Dresdner Kleinwort and most recently for Satellite Asset Management. |
